THE BARN AT SILVERSTONE WEDDING || LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA || ELISE + KYLE

Kicking off our 2024 blog series with one of our favorites from the 2023 season!

Elise and Kyle are two of the most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet. They’re humble, kind, care-about-the-details and prefer quality over quantity kind of people. I shouldn’t have been surprised when those they love and care about most were all similar creatures. Talk about a tribe!

Their late-July celebration was warm (I mean, July- amirite?) with patches of sun and clear sky set deep in the beauty of Lancaster, Pennsylvania at an ever-favorite of ours, the Barn at Silverstone. The grounds are lovely, lusciously green in the summer months and beautifully manicured with endless texture and scenery to create with. Elise’s vision was simple. Neutrals, sage and creams were the perfect canvas for elegance in their reception space. Without a formal wedding party, these two took very intentional steps to prioritize each other and their families on their day.

After having a really brief patch of monsoon-type rain, the truest and most beautiful golden hour I’ve had in quite some time graced us for a few post-ceremony portraits. The heat cooled and the subtle breeze swirled around us. It was magical. Honestly, it was glorious. Easily one of my favorite memories of the 2023 wedding season and a moment that I think we all agreed we didn’t want to end.

Allow me to introduce to you the new Mr. + Mrs. Adams. <3

Best of 2022 || Philadelphia Wedding and Family Photographer

Dusting off the cobwebs from the blog to share some of what I’ve been up to over the last year.

Yes, I’m still here. Yes, I still spend tons of time with lovely couples and families (and a good bit in between). :)

Last year literally flew by but was filled with such sweet, treasured memories. Here’s a little snapshot of some of my favorite moments in time.

(I tried to pick at least one photo from every session I did. If I missed you, please accept my apology and know it was completely unintentional. <3)

Margate, New Jersey Engagement || Gina + Kevin || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Truth time- blogging has taken a little bit of a back seat this year with all that’s going on. BUT, I’ve been working behind the scenes creating so much goodness to share in the next few months. First up is this magical, sweet, fun, silly beach engagement with Gina + Kevin.

Margate is their jam. Their place. Their lives have so many threads woven into this spot that it was completely fitting to spend time on the sandy shores with the gulls and the waves. Kevin showed up without shoes, Gina had beachy wave hair down to a science, and all was pretty right with the world.

G + K: Thank you for showing me your world. I don’t think the smile left my face the entire time I was editing these. Your laughter is contagious and your love for each other is just the good stuff. I can’t wait to celebrate with you again for your special, special day.

Race St. Pier Philadelphia Engagement || Kelly + Dan || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Goodness gracious, there’s so much going on in the world right now. I’m sure you’re just about done with hearing about the coronavirus and all that comes with it- I am too. In case you need a bright side right about now, I thought this could help.

Kelly + Dan are fun, witty, Harry Potter-loving (even if Dan’s on the DL with his affection for it) people. And that means that they’re my kind of people. These two come from a tribe unlike any other I’ve ever known. Despite COVID-19, we decided to keep with our original plans (while we were still allowed to) and head on over to Race St. Pier and Elfreth’s Alley for a good old-fashioned sunrise shoot. If you haven’t been to these spots that early in the morning, PLEASE do yourself a favor on the next sunny day (after quarantine :-D) and set your alarm mighty early to watch the sun come up. It’s downright magical. Don’t believe me? Keep scrolling.

D + K: You make my heart smile. It’s a joy to know you, and to know you is to love you. I’m SO glad that you chose me to be with you on your journey toward marriage. I’m also thankful that you don’t think I’m weird when I text for Grey’s play by plays. Let’s be friends forever, kay?

Harvest View Barn Wedding, Hershey PA || Noelle + Chris || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

While I don’t have the opportunity to second shoot as often as I’d like these days, when I do, I LOVE shooting with friends and helping them love their clients well. Visiting the Harvest View Barn in Hershey, PA while second shooting for my friend, Brittani Elizabeth Photography gave me the perfect opportunity to have a little fun.

The Harvest View Barn is a gem with its vast open landscapes and little piece of secluded heaven on earth. I hope that you enjoy a few of my favorite moments from this beautiful September wedding!
