RECENT WORK

Matt and Michelle in Lebanon (Engagement)

As a photographer, it's pretty common to work with people who aren't regulars when it comes to having their pictures taken professionally.  There's almost always a few minutes of awkward before both my clients (and myself, to be honest) really get into the groove.  During those moments (and throughout the entire session) my job is to make sure that everyone is as comfortable as possible, with whatever means are necessary.  When photographing Matt and Michelle this weekend, I was so pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they made ME feel as soon as I walked in the door!

I met Matt in college.  We ran with the same crowd and became buddies because of it.  When I received a message beginning with "Acorn!" (my nickname from way back when) wondering if I would be willing to take a few photos of him and his beautiful new fiancée, I couldn't say yes fast enough!

These two are quite the pair.  Their love and laughter are infectious.  Their silly, goofy, adorable antics made for an incredibly relaxed, fun and care free e-session.  We began our day in a frequent date spot for them, a cute little coffee shop called The Allen.  Filled with chocolate swirled floats (complete with a 'busted airplane coming in for a landing' spoon feeding) and "fishing for food", this spot was a jackpot for all things cute!  We then made our way over to the lake where they have been known to take many-a-walk.  We began to realize that the weather man was a little off with his predictions of the temperature as the wind kicked up, so we kicked it in to high gear to make the most of a beautiful sunset.  Despite the rapid drop in temperatures, these two were troopers to the very end as the sun helped to make some incredibly magical moments.

Matt and Michelle- Thank you both for being YOU!  And also, for making me laugh harder than I ever have on a shoot.  :)  You both rock my socks!  With that said, please allow me to introduce to you the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Matias!

This within the first five minutes?  Yes please!
