Our final Wedding Week post comes to you straight from the Island of Barbados! Our honeymoon was one of the most relaxing weeks I've ever had. And believe me, 7 whole days unplugged on a tropical island with my husband was exactly what the doctor ordered. (Thank you for all of your patience as we took a little time to ourselves!)
So, please, come along our journey with us as you see the world through our eyes in Barbados!
But first, this is the BEAUTIFUL bracelet that my father gave to me a few days before our wedding for my "something blue". It was perfectly my taste and made me cry. Just wanted to give major thank you to him for giving me such a priceless memory.
Our first day was a little cloudy, but I had to snap this anyway.
LOVED these little guys.
My favorite view of the whole trip. And I don't mean the water.
I love that Dave sees the world through different eyes. Didn't even notice this little guy until he showed me the picture.
Sigh.
Stud.
It's really weird to think that someone loves to take pictures of me as much as I love to take pictures of them.
Loved the contrast!
When traveling through Bridgetown, we stumbled upon this very old cathedral in the center of town.
His one wish while being on the honeymoon.
On our first adventure outside of the resort we found delicious rice and beans, old boat ruins, a puppy and roosters. Oh, and there was also that torrential downpour that soaked us both. :)
We took a nice Catamaran cruise where we both snorkeled for the first time, swam with sea turtles (noggin!) and spent an excessive amount of time in crystal clear turquoise water. Totally not complaining.
That wind though.
On our last day, we rented a car and toured the little island on our own. Dave was a pro at driving on the other side of the road!
By far our favorite thing we found was this old dilapidated church. We couldn't get in due the boarding, but we took as many pictures as we could of what could be seen.
A trip to their college was also pretty scenic.
Our final dinner and dessert at the resort. Please forgive us, we were a little sleepy. :)
