RECENT WORK

Courtney & Isaac || Old City, Philadelphia || Anniversary

Blame it on my own first anniversary passing on Sunday, but I think anniversary sessions are my new favorite thing.  Seriously- there's no pressure for save the dates, no striving for perfection on a wedding day- it's just pure joy after making it through one of the easiest and hardest milestones of learning, growing and loving your new spouse without the obligation.  Perfect recipe for stress-free chemistry, I'd say.

If you're a photographer in the tri-state area and had to postpone sessions or dodge between the rain drops for most of June, chances are you've been praying for a relatively rain-free July. Me too.  Courtney and Isaac were grabbers of the tail-end of that brief, but wet rainy season and weren't strangers to my "we're going to have to play this one by ear" email.  As much as it pained me to postpone their session not one, but two times due to thunderstorms, there was a silver lining.  You see, after a cloudy e-session and a rainy wedding day, all they really wanted was sun.  Little did they know that I was in the perfect mood to break my own rule and wait for a sunny day myself.  So we waited (and we definitely prayed).  And last Thursday, despite our session beginning with a few unexpected clouds, the golden glow soon followed and created just what we were all hoping for...SUN.

I sure hope you enjoy rummaging through a few of my favorites from their quaint little Old City, textures galore anniversary session!

Had to grab a shot of the cat who watched our bags.
