Josh and Becca were affectionately known as my rain couple for the last 9 or so months after a thunderstorm intruded on their engagement session. But instead of sadness, there was a twinkle in their eye and we played in the rain for the rest of the session. When Hurricane Hermine threatened their big day with the same fate, while we knew it'd be okay, I think we were all shrugging our shoulders and saying "Seriously?". But much to our pleasant surprise, when September 4th rolled around, it was the prettiest sunny day, with the prettiest late summer breeze and truly, I can't think of two people who deserved it more.
We started our day at the Loews Hotel downtown in Philly where Dave and I were met with a very excited bride and groom, their favorite people and a healthy amount of hurry, scurry and smiles. After getting dolled up to the nines, we made our way over to Carpenter's Hall for an emotional first look and a ton of portraits. By the time we were all done with family formals, I was about ready to ask Mommom Volk to be MY grandmother too. An incredible ceremony and reception followed at the ever-unique Tendenza and with that, we said goodbye to one of our favorite chapters this year.
B + J: We love you!! You and your families and your story will forever hold a place in our hearts. Thank you so much for being such amazing adventures and the kindest of souls. I can't wait for our paths to keep crossing just because they can. :)
