RECENT WORK

Lauren + Andrew || Drumore Estate Wedding, Lancaster || Modern Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

It’s taken me three weeks to create this blog. THREE WEEKS. Not because I haven’t had the time, but because I couldn’t narrow down my favorites to save my life. I mean it- I sent a text to a few friends earlier this week letting them know that I was still at 653 images for this blog and the response was pretty much “Good Lord”. Somehow, despite my protesting, I got it down under 300, but fair warning- this one is massive. But it just had to be. If you keep scrolling, I think you’ll see why.

I’m not sure that a more perfect day could have existed for this late June wedding. 79 and sunny, breezy often and filled with some of THE most joy-filled people you could ever meet. This day had so many special touches from countless months of detailed planning and careful precision. With how much work Lauren + Andrew put into this day, it seemed only right that each moment played out exactly as they had hoped that they would.

One thing that drew my attention over and over again was the effort Andrew was taking to take a breath and look around. Often, he was looking at this beautiful girl beside him (and often met with her eyes watching him too). But almost as equally, he would lift his eyes to scan the crowd to memorize what was happening around him. I mentioned it to him later asking if he knew he was doing it, and to my surprise, he did. Despite the bustle of a fast paced, event-filled, photo-op-galore day, he deliberately disciplined himself to live in their moments.

I could go on- truly. There were tears, there was laughter, there were intentionally heart-felt actions taken and words spoken, there were celebrations of creativity from loved ones all over the place, there were perfectly selected details, there was love spilling out all over the place. This was just a GOOD day celebrating a very GOOD thing. As a human being, I treasured the opportunity to see that God had done a good work here.

L + A: Thank you for being you. Because you’re you, others are blessed. Your lives are a gift to those around you, and I for one am honored to have witnessed this day for you both. The sky isn’t even the limit for your story, and I’m excited to see where this new journey takes you.
