RECENT WORK

Kathleen + Andrew || Downingtown Country Club || Modern Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Kat + Andrew are my people. Their tribe are my people. I hope some day that you can meet them and they can become your people too.

This day was a joy. I have been excited for months for it to come, and I wasn’t the bride. Walking into a room of former and future brides is something I wish I could do at every wedding and I’m so glad that it happened at this one. Truth be told, I’m secretly hoping that one day I get photoshopped into a photo of this crew by the infamous Jacqui German. The sunny weather, ruby red lips, vintage heirloom, details, Mitch, summer florals, one of the most perfect golden hours I’ve ever had on a wedding day (just wait to you see it) and two people head over heels in love- this celebration was so, so special.

K + A: I feel like I might cry. Can we be like forever besties and talk in GIFs for life? I think you’d probably answer yes. Seriously though- you know I love you people. And I think that’s just about all there is to it.

Lindsey + Mark || Goodstay Gardens, Delaware || Modern Philadelphia Newborn Photographer

Meet Lindsey + Mark. We had to reschedule a bunch due to pop up thunderstorms for the better part of a month, but I’d say that the day we settled on was just right, just when we needed it.

These guys are two that I’ve been hoping to have in front of my camera for a life event like this one for a few years now (ever since I met them at Caroline + Tom’s wedding!). When Lindsey reached out to say she was expecting, I was bouncing off the walls. This sweet little growing girl is already so special and so loved, so taking a little time to remember this stage was very fitting.

L + M: You are special people, and it’s such an honor to know you. Thank you for asking me to be the one to help you remember this time. I can’t wait to see the good news of this little miracle’s arrival! Until then, Lindsey, I’m wishing you all of the foot rubs and pup-snuggles!

Lauren + Andrew || Drumore Estate Wedding, Lancaster || Modern Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

It’s taken me three weeks to create this blog. THREE WEEKS. Not because I haven’t had the time, but because I couldn’t narrow down my favorites to save my life. I mean it- I sent a text to a few friends earlier this week letting them know that I was still at 653 images for this blog and the response was pretty much “Good Lord”. Somehow, despite my protesting, I got it down under 300, but fair warning- this one is massive. But it just had to be. If you keep scrolling, I think you’ll see why.

I’m not sure that a more perfect day could have existed for this late June wedding. 79 and sunny, breezy often and filled with some of THE most joy-filled people you could ever meet. This day had so many special touches from countless months of detailed planning and careful precision. With how much work Lauren + Andrew put into this day, it seemed only right that each moment played out exactly as they had hoped that they would.

One thing that drew my attention over and over again was the effort Andrew was taking to take a breath and look around. Often, he was looking at this beautiful girl beside him (and often met with her eyes watching him too). But almost as equally, he would lift his eyes to scan the crowd to memorize what was happening around him. I mentioned it to him later asking if he knew he was doing it, and to my surprise, he did. Despite the bustle of a fast paced, event-filled, photo-op-galore day, he deliberately disciplined himself to live in their moments.

I could go on- truly. There were tears, there was laughter, there were intentionally heart-felt actions taken and words spoken, there were celebrations of creativity from loved ones all over the place, there were perfectly selected details, there was love spilling out all over the place. This was just a GOOD day celebrating a very GOOD thing. As a human being, I treasured the opportunity to see that God had done a good work here.

L + A: Thank you for being you. Because you’re you, others are blessed. Your lives are a gift to those around you, and I for one am honored to have witnessed this day for you both. The sky isn’t even the limit for your story, and I’m excited to see where this new journey takes you.

Mia || Coatesville, PA || Modern Philadelphia Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

This family is special to us. I think if you’ve been following along for any length of time, you may recognize Scott and Lauri. From their engagement, to their wedding, to a newborn session for the sweet, energetic toddler in the photos below, they’re no strangers to being in front of our camera.

Well there’s a new girl in town! Born a few weeks ago, Mia is one of the most relaxed newborns I’ve ever worked with. Her big sister Elle is full of just the right amount of 2 year old energy to keep us all laughing and definitely on our toes. Both had us all wrapped around their fingers (and also had us paying for our requests in fruit snacks). Though little miss Mia is fresh from the oven it was abundantly clear to me that she came at just the right time to be a part of this family.

L + S + E + M: Thank you for bring me along for all of the life things! It’s such a special honor to be invited back time and time again, and to see so many of our mutual memories hanging all over your walls. My love for you runs deep and I am so excited to this new addition to your adventure!

Lany + Andrew || The Highlands Mansion and Gardens || Modern Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Throwback to last week when the sun was shining in abundance and these spotty thunderstorms in Philly weren’t even a blip on the radar.

The Highlands Mansion and Gardens is one of the prettiest spots I’ve been to so far in my career. There’s a ton of texture and an abundance of vegetation that makes this feel very much like a chapter straight out of the Secret Garden. We added in these two beauties with their florals and mermaid hair and enjoyed a sweet summer night getting to know each other. I loveeee getting to spend my time with people in love.

L + A: Thank you for putting so much thought and care into making our photo times the very best that they can be. You two ROCKED this session!! So, so excited for September. :)
