RECENT WORK

Cheri + Kerry || Morris Arboretum Wedding || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

As we draw closer to Christmas, we’ve been working hard to make sure that all of the beautiful pictures hanging out in our queue are attended to and delivered sooner than later. Though a lot is happening behind the scenes, I want and need to share this wedding with you. It was the last of our 2019 season, and easily one of my favorites for many, many reasons.

Cheri + Kerry are special people. Their people are special people. In fact, these people are so special that I’m convinced there’s something in the water out in Garnet Valley, PA. After photographing a handful of weddings for this crew, whenever another inquiry comes through, my YAAASSS can probably be heard over the TVs in their living room. If you think I’m kidding, I’m not.

This wedding, this marriage, was destined to be. Demonstrating a love that endures from the moment I met them, I knew that to tell their love story would be a great honor. The day, like them, was unique. Quirky. Intentional. Magical. Detailed. Colorful. Sure. All of these things and so much more are true for that day. And even though rain, the setting ‘sun’ and pure darkness mid-way through their vows and beyond threatened to squish some of the careful planning around the ceremony, every part of this day was perfect. At the end of the day, they were married. And MAN did God do a good thing when they said ‘I Do.’

C + K: You know I love you. I am forever (like FOREVER) team #cheremonyoflove. Your strength, kindness, compassion, trust, perserverance, optimism, respect and selflessness inspire me. Thank you for bringing me into your inner circle and giving me the privilege to love on not only you, but the ones you love more than Jethro. Coffee in January with #teampastpresentfutureALWAYS!

Stephanie + Jeff || Rittenhouse Square Maternity Session || Lifestyle Philadelphia Newborn Photographer

One of the coolest things about my job is getting to meet so many members of one family. Whether it be on a wedding day, during a birth, a newborn session- it’s a special honor to see the people that built you.

Stephanie + Jeff came to me via her sister Lindsey’s maternity session earlier this year. Being pregnant with your sister is such a gift! When they contacted me, I almost squealed that I’d be invited into their family again. These two have such a fun sense of humor and one of the cutest Teddy Bear puppies I’ve EVER seen. We wandered here, there and everywhere around Rittenhouse Square for their session on the same chilly November day that I mentioned before, but you’d never know it. They were willing to brave it all to remember this sweet moment in their lives.

S + J: I loved walking the streets of Philly with you! Thank you for trusting me as your photographer! I’m so excited for you to meet your little one- you’re going to be amazing parents!

Gia + Nick || Race Street Pier Engagement || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

I LOVE in-home sessions in the winter. The ones where you can take your shoes off, curl up in a blanket and snuggle with your Bae. Bonus points if there’s a pup included.

This November engagement session was one of my few sunrise sessions this year. It was THE coldest day of the year so far (wind chill made our start time of 6:30am feel like 18 degrees), but we were still able to catch a few minutes outdoors before retreating to Gia + Nick’s old city apartment for some vintage-inspired-cozy-kind-of-magic. These two were born to snuggle, I’m convinced of it. And man do they love each other (and their sweet little fluffy puppy Willow). All in all, what a great way to start the day!

G + N: Thank you for sharing your world with me, for braving the cold for a few minutes, and for having such fun taste in decor to make your session truly special. I loved getting to meet all three of you!!

Alexis + Sean || Longwood Gardens Engagement || Documentary Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

I LOVE spending time with our future couples at their engagement sessions. It helps us all let our guards down, take a breath and let loose while getting to know each other better. There’s lots of laughs, giggles, slinkies (they know), cyclops’ (again, they know), and working through all of those pre-wedding-I’ve-never-been-in-front-of-a-camera-before-also-we-aren’t-really-picture-people jitters. Every single one of my clients starts this session saying something along those lines, and I promise you- every single one of them have been proven wrong. If you’re nervous- totally normal. Don’t worry, I’ve got you.

Alexis + Sean are sweeter than pumpkin pie. They traveled all the way out here from Ohio for this session at Longwood, and it ended up being a perfect spot for them. Despite being November and a little chilly, you’d never know it. These two make sparks fly, and it didn’t take long to see just what drew them to each other. Oh, and the sky lit up with a little something extra special for us too. :)

A + S: What a fun day! It was a treat to walk and talk and wait for that sunset with you. I’m overjoyed that our journey is just beginning. BRING ON OCTOBER! :-D

Lany + Andrew || Springton Manor Farm Wedding || Modern Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Shoots and weddings and editing and blogging, oh my! It surely is October in the photography world. While we've been working mostly behind the scenes these days, I couldn't miss the opportunity to share this beautiful late-September wedding at the Springton Manor Farm.

Lany + Andrew planned a perfect day. Sprinkled with mint greens and unique blues, the sun-kissed, golden-rod and wildflower backdrop was a perfect setting to tell their love story. Their 'wandering minister' created such a unique ceremony, their son brought an overload of precious excitement, their friends and family roared with happiness for their union and it was wonderful to be a part of it!

L + A: WHAT A DAY! Thank you for being so easy to be around and easy to love. Thank you for sharing your people with us. We couldn't be more excited to celebrate the life you've created with a blog stocked with some of our favorite memories from your day. Go team Torok!!
